Tips to Eradicate pests in your Home without using Harmful Substance
One of the problems encountered by households during house parties is that pests such as cockroaches might appear anytime. The fastest ways to get rid of these pests is simply spraying them with pesticides but doing so will actually cause harm to your health and your family’s health due to the chemical content of the pesticides. Since this is alarming to your family’s health, most of us want to know the methods that are not harmful to living things but can still prevent pests.
It is a fact that during summer time, ants are just rampant. They can be found crawling alone or in group on your tables, cabinets, and even personal things. One way to prevent the ants from entering your home is to make sure you have located their entrance. The moment you find the area of entry, you need to create a barrier immediately by simply spreading citrus oil, cayenne peppers or coffee grounds surrounding the spot. This way, ants will not try to pass over the items. But if they have already entered your home premises, you need to place spearmint leaves, garlic cloves or cucumber peels on the cabinet or tables. The need to place these items is due to the fact that they are ants repellant. Once you have control over the ants inside your home, you can now focus on the outdoor infestations. To manage the outdoor, you need to sprinkle cornmeal on the mouth of the ant hill so that this will attract the ants and share it immediately to their colony but the thing is ants cannot digest cornmeal and so they will die after a week or so.
Another pest that can be found in your home and considered to be a repulsive pest is the cockroach and this pest should also have natural pest control remedy. You can use catnip to repel cockroaches by simply placing it in areas where cockroaches or abundant. If you see an existing population and you want to terminate them, all you need to do is to soak a piece of bread with beet and keep it exposed to cockroaches since they cannot digest beer and they will die eventually. Soapy water can also kill cockroaches so you need to have it at all times and then spray directly to the cockroach since they will die in minutes because their exoskeleton is broken down.
There is also natural pest control for mosquitoes. To prevent mosquitoes, remove their preferred habitat such as standing water in yards or in a basin. Another mosquito repellent is a solution that has at least 30 percent eucalyptus content and all you need to do is to apply it onto your skin.
